sources of inspiration:
As far back as I am able to remember, I found myself drawing or
sculpting figures.
The sources of my inspiration are numerous and
diverse: a teardrop on the cheek of a hungry child in Africa, bloodied
conflicts between nations, victims of violence in our region and other
parts of the world... and in contrast there are sources such as a dancer's
virtuoso movement, joy on the face of a grandfather, Greek mythology,
biblical tales, legends, historical characters and events.
All of these move me and then, as if by some mysterious hand I find
myself compelled to work in my studio and create new forms and rich,
complex compositions.
I could not be happier when I see the images in my mind take shape
before my very eyes.
